    Hi all, my rheumatologist recently put me on Plaquenil for my joint pain and I'm wondering if it has helped anyone else. I have limited Scleroderma, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. Plaquenil reduces inflammation in many Rheumatic disorders, the mode of action is pretty complicated though so I shan't bore you with all the details, but basically it prevents your dendritic cells these are messengers for your immune system, if you will from interacting with your T-Cells a special type of white blood cell which through a convoluted and boring process, causes inflammation.

    Well, I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, a lovely mix of Lupus, Scleroderma, and Myositis about 5 months ago and was recently given a prescription for Methotrexate 7.5mg a week taken once weekly with Folic Acid taken daily.
